hello Prasanna :)i saw a question in the sample paper which said- whats the best instrument for writing in the absence of gravity??
options were- ball point pen, fountain pen, gel pen and pencil

same question as seen in 3 idiots....i answered ball point pen, coz virus gives an explanation later telling that if pencil lead breaks it could harm the sensitive devices of the spacecraft...!!
what do u say abt it???

ya, i got to see it, it's basically last year's question paper with few changes....just log into your CEED-2013 account from IIT-B website, it guides you to the sample test page

Hi prasanna,
I tried the new interface. But I felt 1 thing unusual. All all the option for questions are aligned to left side, but "Save & Next" button is extreem right side. It takes reasonable amount of time to move cursor in whole screen.
I believe that button sud hav been just below the options. Say it a design laps :-)

Hi Trivikram,
A ballpen works on principle of transfering the ink by scooping the ink from the refill and tranfering it on the paper by using a ball. This works well in space. This is actually based on actual Space Pen Program. You can read about it here
Enjoy :)

Hi 66k
Eaxam will be of 100 marks
You can see how it is in mock test

in mock test 50ques r CBT 2marks for each que thats part A = 100
In part B mandatory
3 ques r there 20+15+15=50
also in part B optional part its again 50marks

so total would be 100+20+15+15+50=200
and time allotted is 3hrs

Hello Sir
I have been preparing for this exam for the past 11 months now...but I never felt like this before, getting goosebumps and my hand has lost its flow. I have even tried changing my sketching style last month-now i don't keep my palm on paper but that has led to confusion in my hand...I feel like mind is empty again and I have to study your blog once again and start afresh. :p

Hello Chetan,
i guess, u r a bit tense around this time as the exams are getting closer and its natural to feel like this. I think this increases your creativity too. One thing that worked for me was, i could think faster and i could generate lots of concept in shorter time. Maybe you can also try some concept generation problems like '5 uses of egg shaped form'. Maybe it will help you
Best of luck :)

Yes you are right. Thanks for the tip.

Sir, did you go through the mock test? I found Part B too lengthy...I mean Part B Mandatory section has 3 questions. Also there is an optional section-one has to be answered out of other 3 choices. That means total of 4 ques for sketching; and this accounts for only 100 marks. what do you have to say?

Hello Chetan,
Your observation is right. The paper will be lengthy and you will need to solve the 4 questions in PART B really fast. But since this is uniform for all students, its not unjust, its simply that you will need to solve faster. I suggest you to first attempt all questions then return to them to do finishing touches like applying textures and shadows
